Jason Schneider

Jason Schneider is one of North America's most popular illustrators.

Jason was born and raised in Toronto and has been illustrating for the past 15 years. Initially trained in classical portraiture and art restoration, he remodeled himself as an editorial illustrator. Over the past decade, his style is ever evolving in different directions. This allows him to express his points of view without distorting the original concepts of his assignments.

While creating his illustrations, Jason consistently displays his ironic and cynical sense of humor while adding a touch of the sentimental to his mostly figurative work. He works in gouache, watercolor and ink and also uses the technology of Adobe Photoshop where it lends itself.

Jason Schneider has focused his gouache and watercolor work in the business editorial genre. His work has appeared in these US publications — The New York Times, Time, Outside Magazine, Wall St. Journal, NY Daily News, Men's Journal, E-Company Now, Conde Nast Traveler, Fast Company, Saveur, Men's Health, Smart Business and This Old House. His work can also be seen in these Canadian publications — National Post Business, The Globe and Mail's Report on Business and Canadian Business.

His book credits include The Book of Swing, published by Little, Brown and Company, Jimmy The Bartender and The Resourceful Gardener, published by Rodale Press and Why Moths Hate Thomas Edison and Other Urgent Inquiries into the Odd Nature of Nature published by W.W. Norton and Company.
