Edward Schnurr
Edward Schnurr graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto, Canada in 1995. His artistic endeavors are varied. He produces decorative clocks, wearable shoes decorated with old jewelry and rhinestones, and three-dimensional sculptural pieces from found objects. He has worked in the National Ballet of Canada's prop department on several productions including Cinderella and The Nutcracker, and has produced artwork for charitable events.
For the last three years Edward has focussed on editorial illustration using collage techniques. Each collage is intricately produced by hand without any digital aids; a favourite pair of scissors, a basic gluestick, and infinite patience are Edward's tools of the trade. Edward consistently strives to improve, enhance, and perfect his work using the simplest of techniques.
Edward's illustrations have appeared in various publications for Canadian and American clients including The National Post Business Magazine, Saturday Night, TV Guide, Labatt's Breweries, Canadian Airlines, Cottage Life, Newsweek, Today's Parent, The Globe and Mail, University of Toronto Press, Canadian Geographic, Canadian Business, The Digital Coast Reporter, Money Sense, The Toronto Star, The Medical Post, The Financial Post, Canadian Lawyer, Healthy Kids, and PROFIT.
