Michael Zaharuk
Michael Zaharuk has worked as an illustrator and editorial cartoonist since graduating from the Ontario College of Art and Design in 1991.
Michael describes his work as conceptual satire ... his influences are German Expressionist George Gross and American painter Philip Guston.
Michael's illustrations are created in a mixed medium of watercolor, acrylic, and pen and ink. His work also spans to design and book publishing with clients that include Time Warner and Key Porter.
Beside editorial illustration Michael has also been commissioned by the film and television industry as a production illustrator and accomplished story board artist for both animation and live action cinema.
Michael's mixed media illustrations have appeared in these publications: Time Magazine, The Wall St. Journal, Chicago Magazine, The Chicago Tribune, New York Magazine, The Utne Reader, The Globe and Mail, Canadian Business Magazine and The National Post.
Michael also syndicates his editorial cartoons to newspapers around the world through Artizans Entertainment.
